Course Description

This training is designed to take a Power BI Developer to the next level utilizing the built-in and 3rd Party developer tools.

Main areas covered

The course focuses on the following topics:

  • Deployment Pipelines
  • Overview of main API calls for development and management
  • 3rd party tools
    • Tabular Editor: Metadata editor, Scripting, Best Practice Analyzer, CLI
    • Dax Studio: Query Builder, Vertipaq Analyzer, Server Timings and All queries
    • ALM Toolkit: Model comparison and selective deployment
    • Other tools
  • DevOps integration options
  • Multi developer approach: what is possible and what is still coming

 

At the end of the course BI developers will be familiar with:

  • How to utilize the advanced developer toolset of the Power BI ecosystem to improve efficiency and model quality.

Trainer

Mihály Kávási is an expert in the field of Data Analysis and Business Analysis. His main interest is to be a real good connector between IT and Business and between raw data and actionable insights.

His current roles are Project Technical Lead, Solution Architect, Data Governance Expert, Self-Service BI Evangelist.

Microsoft Certified Trainer since 2018, Fast Track Recognized Solution Architect for Power BI since 2021.
